LXOP01 is a Bac­te­rio­phage Ther­a­py for BLEPHARITIS.

This inno­v­a­tive for­mu­la­tion har­ness­es the nat­ur­al antibac­te­r­i­al prop­er­ties of lyt­ic bac­te­rio­phages to selec­tive­ly tar­get and elim­i­nate drug resis­tant Staphy­lo­coc­cus and Pseudomonas species, a cause of Ble­phar­i­tis and chron­ic eye­lid inflam­ma­tion.

Unlike tra­di­tion­al anti­biotic, phages do not dis­rupt the healthy ocu­lar micro­bio­me and do not con­tribute to antibi­ot­ic resis­tance.
